Hiking
There are lots of places to hike in Jasper County, and I have yet to explore them all. Most of the hikes I’ve posted are from these six trailheads. The trailheads are, from north to south:
- The Highway 83 Trailhead
- The Ocmulgee Flats Camp
- The Ocmulgee Bluff Day Use Area
- Wise Creek River Access
- Rush Creek Trailhead
- Lane Road
- Charlie Elliott Visitor Center
**A helpful note before digging in: When viewing trails on a desktop computer or when using a phone or GPS unit for navigation, set your map/background to Open Street Map. Open Street Map has the most accurate and up-to-date information about Jasper County and we’re updating it constantly. It’s used by many apps - you might already be using it and didn’t even know it.
