Popular starting points that offer room to park horse trailers include The Ocmulgee Flats Campground on FS 1099, The Ocmulgee Bluff Equestrian Trailhead on Smith Mill Road, and the Rush Creek Trailhead on FS Road 1013 just off Clay Road.
