Gravel Cycling
Jasper County and the counties around it offers some of the best gravel riding roads in the state. Many of them traverse the Piedmont Wildlife Refuge or the Oconee National Forest in the south and west sides of the county, where the Red Clay Ramble, Fried Green Fifty, Sac O Suds, Sasquatch Ride, and and Fried Clay 200k gravel events are held.
Other great dirt roads cross through Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center at the county’s north end. But good dirt can be found throughout the county. Here are some suggested parking/starting locations and sample routes:
